When?
A newborn shoot is done in the first weeks after birth.
With most photographers you can only do a newborn shoot in the first two weeks. As an experienced newborn photographer and former midwife, I have adjusted that period to 6 weeks.
This way there is less rush and your baby is really just as cute at 4 or 5 weeks as at two weeks.
Make an appointment in time, because I usually have a turnaround time of about two weeks.

Safety
Newborn babies are very flexible. That doesn't mean you can do anything with a newborn baby. You even have to be very careful. As a former obstetrician, I know exactly what is and is not possible. And of course everything is well explained and you as parents decide what you do and don't want.
To be clear: some of the photos you see in my portfolio have been digitally manipulated afterwards. The head is supported during shooting and that support is removed with the help of Photoshop.
Clothing and accessories
In a newborn shoot, not much use is made of clothing. The soft wool suits that you see in the photos in my portfolio are present here and can be used during the shoot. You don't have to bring extra clothes yourself.
We also work with wraps (soft cloths) and woolen surfaces.

How does it work?
Before the shoot
When you have booked a shoot, you will receive a confirmation email and you will receive a brochure by post containing all the information you need. About preparation, clothing, accessories and other practical matters.
You can always call or app me before the shoot if you have any questions or want to discuss something.

During the shoot
Prior to the photo session there is always a pre-talk. Your specific wishes are discussed here. Is there something you want to emphasize? Is there an object you would like to photograph? I'd like to hear it and keep it in mind. We can also go through the clothes and I can give you advice.

After the shoot
Even after the shoot, the guidance continues. You will receive information from me about what to expect.
Within 24 hours you will receive a preview of some edited photos via Whatsapp.
I'm going to make a selection of all the photos and edit the best ones. You will receive this via a download link.
You will receive high-resolution files without a watermark, which you can print anywhere. There are no additional costs after the shoot.
